Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Tabshura for use of our website and tutoring service. By creating an account or using Tabshura, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who we are

Tabshura provides an AI tutor that explains problems step by step on a live chalkboard. You can reach us at support@tabshura.com.

Who may use Tabshura

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you are under 18, you may use Tabshura only with the permission of a parent, guardian, or teacher.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

The tutor can be wrong

This is the most important thing on this page. Tabshura's explanations are generated by an AI language model. It will sometimes be confidently incorrect — a wrong step, a mis-stated rule, an arithmetic slip, a plausible-looking but false claim.

• Treat what the tutor writes as a study aid to be checked, not as an authority. Verify anything that matters against your textbook, your course materials, or your teacher.
• Tabshura does not provide professional advice of any kind — not medical, legal, financial, or otherwise — regardless of what you ask it.
• We make no promise about grades, exam results, or learning outcomes.

Academic honesty

Tabshura is built to help you understand your work, not to do it for you. Whether using an AI tutor is permitted for a particular assignment, exam, or course is between you and your school. Following those rules is your responsibility, and we are not liable for the consequences of breaking them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law, or use Tabshura to help anyone else do so.
• Attempt to extract our prompts or model configuration, reverse-engineer the service, or circumvent its limits and safeguards.
• Use automated means to access the service, resell it, or run it on behalf of third parties without our written agreement.
• Upload content you have no right to share, or anything unlawful, abusive, or designed to harm others.
• Probe, load-test, or interfere with the service or the infrastructure it runs on. Genuine security research is welcome — email us first.
• Share your account, or use someone else's.

Your content

What you write and upload stays yours. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, transmit it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, and display it back to you. We do not claim ownership, we do not sell it, and we do not train models on it.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — including photographs of material written by someone else.

Tutor output

You may use the tutor's explanations for your own study and work. Because AI models can produce similar output for different people, we cannot promise that any particular output is unique to you, and we make no claim of ownership over it.

Our intellectual property

The Tabshura name, the site, its design, and its software are ours. These terms do not give you a licence to use our branding or to copy the service.

Availability and changes

We are an early-stage product. We may add, change, or remove features, and there will be downtime. We aim to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Tabshura is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will set out the pricing and terms before you are charged for anything.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time (“Delete account”, under “Log out” in the sidebar), which removes your conversations and boards. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. We will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Disclaimers

Tabshura is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tabshura will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or lost academic opportunity, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Tabshura after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
